Indo Swiss Sports Club (ISSC) 13th International Shuttle Badminton tournament & Multicultural gala held on 17th and 24th October 2015

ISSC hosted their 13th Int’l shuttle badminton tournament & Multiculrual Gala on 24th Oct at Shuttle zone wetzikon with a motto to promote integration in Switzerland in association with Sportkanton Zurich.

The 13th ISSC badminton tournament was inaugurated by Fr. Varghese Nadackal and President Titus Puthanveettil. Over 40 teams took part in the tournament in various categories. ISSC tournament listed as one of the biggest event in Switzerland that promote integration and the first Indian organisation that was recognised by Ministry of Sports – State of Zurich.

Convenor Benson Pazhayattil explained the rules and regulations of the tournament and Fr. Manjaly (Director of Kidney donor organisation of India) were also present.

The Multicultural Gala and the Prize Distribution Ceremony were also held at the same Badminton Hall (Zürcherstrasse 69, 8620 Wetzikon ZH) from 7 pm onwards.

Mr Ganesh Ramados (KTS Group of company Chairman & Main Sponsor), Mrs Daniela Rutz (Sportamt Kanton Zurich), Mrs Lina Samman (Oman Air), Marc Berweger (Athleticum) were Chief Guests for the KTS Switzerland sponsored multicultural gala. Benson Pazhayattil were given the welcome speech followed by Titus Puthanveettil – preisidential address and Secretary Titus Naduvathumuriyil – Vote of thanks.

Opening ceremony named Incredible India was an extravaganza of Multicultural gala choreographed by Neenu and concept & visualisation by Tomy Thondamkuzhy.

This year’s Multiculatural gala named Bollywood meet Fiesta Latino, and famous groups were performing Bollywood – Samba – Capoeira – Hip hop shows. Live band from Freakout Zurich have taken most of the crowed to the dance floor. A delicious festive Indian buffet dinner were also a highlight of the event which was arranged by the prime caterer Kanchi restaurant Lucerne. Neena Pittappally was moderating the event.

ISSC executive committee were always on the front line to assist the record crowd came for this year’s multicultural gala.
